"We need more products that are both competitive around the world and rich in culture at the same time. It's not only simply using cultural elements but to repurpose it with modernization and internationalization in mind. A good product needs creativity and originality," said Zheng Hao, deputy director of the Bureau for External Cultural Relations.
One highlight is an exhibition by the Palace Museum.

"We are devoted to creating cultural and creative products. We want to make the relics at the Palace Museum come to life again, and use vivid forms and various products to bring traditional Chinese culture to the public," said Ren Wanping, deputy director of the Palace Museum.
Currently, there are 35 China Cultural Centers around the globe, and the number is expected to reach 50 in 2020.
In recent years, the centers have held many cultural activities, showing a complete picture of China to the world.
The China Week project started in 2016, and has focused on a wide range of topics including the commemoration of Shakespeare and Chinese playwright Tang Xianzu, and China's intangible cultural heritages. It has become one of the most important platforms in promoting Chinese culture.
