The Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway is scheduled to open on September 23, 2018. The high-speed train, named "Vibrant Express," is a customized "Hong Kong version" of the CRH380A technology. The 26-kilometer-long high-speed rail will incorporate Hong Kong into the 25,000-kilometer national high-speed rail network. Upon being commissioned, passengers can travel from Hong Kong's West Kowloon Station directly to 44 destinations on the Chinese mainland.
