M3.2 earthquake hits Haidian District in Beijing

A 3.2 magnitude earthquake hit Haidian District in Beijing on Sunday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The quake happened at around 1:25 p.m. BJT with a depth of 17 kilometers. 

The epicenter was monitored at 40.08 degrees north latitude and 116.23 degrees east longitude. 

Residents in areas near the epicenter felt tremors. No casualties have been reported yet.
