Employees of the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul testified at the Turkish prosecutor's office, the state-run Anadolu news agency said on Friday, as part of the investigation into the disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Fifteen employees, all Turkish nationals, were giving statements as witnesses, according to Anadolu.
Before the testimony, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Turkey has not shared any audio recordings with anyone, dismissing reports that Ankara had passed on audio evidence of the killing of a dissident Saudi journalist to the US.
Turkish authorities have an audio recording which indicates that Khashoggi was killed in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, a Turkish official and a security source told media this week.
Mevlut Cavusoglu also told media that Turkey has evidence and information obtained from its investigation into Jamal Khashoggi's disappearance and will "share the results that emerge transparently with the whole world."
Khashoggi went missing more than two weeks ago after entering the consulate to obtain documents in relation to his forthcoming marriage. Turkish officials believe he was killed in the building, but Riyadh has denied the allegations.
