Tracklaying for a high-speed railway in China’s Inner Mongolia was completed on Tuesday. The tracks link the region’s capital of Hohhot with Zhangjiakou in north China’s Hebei Province. The line, which will enter service by the end of this year, will feature trains traveling up to 287 kilometers per hour. The use of bullet trains will reduce the journey time between Hohhot and Beijing from nine hours to three.
