A truck crashed around 1:00 a.m on a national highway in Guangyuan City, southwestern China's Sichuan Province on March 8, trapping three passengers including a two-year-old toddler. The toddler was unharmed however as the grandmother protected the child with her body. The local fire department arrived in half an hour to help with the rescue and successfully rescued all passengers and got them to the hospital before sunrise. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
