Beijing Wild Duck Lake National Wetland Park in Yanqing District reopened on Friday after the winter break. Beijing has been strengthening wildlife protection efforts in recent years and the types of wild animals and plants have been increasing in line with improvements in the ecological environment in China's capital.

As Beijing's only protected area for wetland birds, the park's stable water resources, sandy terrain and variety of vegetation offer an ideal habitat for birds and other animals. 

Travel tips

The entrance fee: 50 yuan per person
Transportation: Visitors could take bus No. 919 and get off at Yanqing, transfer to bus No. 921 and get off at the wild duck lake.
