As part of Beijing's film festival, the annual Film Carnival kicked off on Sunday at the Huairou Film and Television Industry Park in northeast Beijing.
To mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the carnival showcases 27 activities, including film screenings, concerts for movie songs, and virtual reality film interactions.
In the outdoor filming location of Monster Hunt, tourists can feel what it's like to be in an adventure movie.
Zhou Hongying is one of the tourists. She said. "I feel like I went back to ancient times and walked in the scenes of Monster Hunt."

To satisfy visitors' curiosity about film technology, a special studio featuring snow scenes has been set up, in stark contrast to the sunshine outside.
"The 'snow' on the ground is from this [holding bag of false snow] material and we also have snow-making equipment. Put this material into the equipment, mix it with water, then the machine can spew out snow. Some 'snow' is confetti and its raw material is called snow-making water," said Cao Ji, Special Effects Worker of State Production Base of China Film Group.
"'Snow' can come out after putting the water into the machine. We hope to let tourists experience how the film industry builds 'icy worlds'," Cao added.
The carnival will run for 19 days until May 4.
