The Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK) leader Kim Jong Un learned about Singapore's social and economic development during his night tour of Singapore on Monday night, the eve of his planned summit with US President Donald Trump, DPRK's state media KCNA reported on Tuesday.
Kim went around the Sky Park on the roof of the Marina Bay Sands building and Singapore Port, accompanied by his sister Kim Yo Jong; vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Kim Yong Chol; the WPK's vice-chairman on international affairs, Ri Su Yong; and No Kwang Chol, minister of the People's Armed Forces.

Kim said Singapore was clean and beautiful while overlooking the city’s night view on the observation deck atop of Marina Bay Sands building, adding that he is going to learn a lot from the knowledge and experience of Singapore in various fields in the future, KCNA reported.
Kim was joined by Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, who tweeted a selfie with a smiling Kim, and Singapore's Minister of Education Ong Ye Kung.

Some analysts believed that Kim's tour demonstrated DPRK’s ease and self-confidence towards the summit.
