Belgium celebrated the 60th anniversary of the creation of the beloved blue cartoon characters – the Smurfs on Tuesday. Dozens dressed in blue attended the event, so did Veronique Culliford, daughter of Pierre Culliford, the creator of the Smurfs, who expressed her happiness that the characters remain popular.
