64-year-old Sun Chenggao was sent to the emergency room after suffering from a heart attack on October 22. That day also happened to be his wife's birthday.
After he regained consciousness, the first thing Sun asked for was a pen and piece of paper so that he could remind his family to celebrate his wife's birthday.

"It is hard for the patient to speak with a ventilator and he seems really anxious after wake up. But he said no when we asked him if he was hungry, thirsty, or uncomfortable. So I found a pen and a paper for him," Li Wenjuan, the head nurse of the intensive care department in the Suqian People's Hospital in east China's Jiangsu Province, told the Modern Express.
"Today is my wife's birthday," Sun wrote on the paper before the doctor handed the note to his son, Sun Yujun.
According to his son, he was told over and over by his father that he had to call all of their relatives and spend his mother's birthday together.
"This note was written to remind me of the birthday plan," Sun Yujun said. "My mother can't read. She didn't know about the note until Wednesday, October 24."

"The most valuable part of humanity is love; the most valuable part of love is fidelity," @Changxuchayuanmuyi said.
"My father is recovering well. After he left the hospital, I planned to hold the birthday party for my mother. It is also the celebration of my father's discharge [from the hospital]," Sun Yujun said.
