Culture is the soul of a country and the spiritual force that promotes human civilization and social development, while tourism is a crucial channel for countries and cultures to learn from each other, and an important way to promote economic development and state-to-state exchanges.
Luo Shugang, China's Minister of Culture and Tourism, made the remarks at a forum on the sidelines of the ongoing Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations (CDAC) in Beijing.
Over 200 guests from countries and international organizations in Asia, Europe, Africa and Oceania are attending the forum.
Luo noted that civilizations have become colorful through exchanges and enriched through mutual learning. He expressed the hope that Asian countries and regions will strengthen cultural and tourism integration, resource development, communication, cooperation and innovation in a bid to make a greater contribution to the development of world civilization and build a global community of shared future.
