A suicide blast at a mosque in an army base in eastern Afghanistan's Khost province killed at least 26 people and wounded 50 others on Friday.

The blast took place around 1:30 p.m. local time when victims had gathered for Friday prayers at the mosque. 

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
