The Republic of Korea (ROK) President Moon Jae-in and the leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un reaffirmed their commitment to the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula on Friday, according to Yonhap News Agency.
The two signed the joint "Panmunjom Declaration" following the historic inter-Korean summit.
The meeting was the first summit between the leaders of both ROK and the DPRK in over a decade.
Kim vowed to start dismantling the country’s nuclear arsenal on April 21 and shut down a nuclear test site, saying there is no need for further tests.
