Saudi Arabia's King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi's family in Riyadh on Tuesday, the country's state news agency SPA has reported.

The king and the crown prince met with Khashoggi's son Salah and brother Sahel at the royal palace.

The Saudi cabinet also said Saudi Arabia will hold to account those responsible for Khashoggi's death and those who failed in their duties "no matter who they may be," after a meeting chaired by King Salman.
