CGTN's Sports Scene presents an excerpt from Diego Maradona's special World Cup program called "By the Hand of the Ten." In the latest episode, the Argentinian legend spoke his heart out on the catastrophic defeat of his country as they were outclassed 3-0 by a clinical Croatia.
In the free-wheeling, no-holds-barred interview, the 1986 World Cup champion unabashedly slammed his side and pointed out the chinks in their armor. The former captain and coach also come down heavily on their team performance and over-dependence on Messi.
He, however, hoped that the Albiceleste will bounce back and a resurgent performance in their remaining Group D game may catapult them to the knock-out stage.
