Chinese President Xi Jinping hailed Myanmar's active participation in jointly building the Belt and Road during his meeting with Myanmar's State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi. Myanmar formed a steering committee for implementation tasks relating to the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative chaired by Suu Kyi.
