The two-day high-level economic and trade negotiations between China and the U.S. in Beijing are expected to conclude on Friday.
The two sides are in talks trying to end ongoing trade frictions. A truce is in effect, with no new tariffs added, but only 14 days are left until it expires on March 1.
No official statement has been released regarding the progress.
The talks are jointly chaired by Chinese Vice Premier Liu He, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China's Central Committee, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.
