China's national prosecution service has issued an arrest warrant for Zeng Zhiquan, a former senior provincial official "suspected of the crime of accepting bribes."
The notice of the warrant was posted on the website of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, China's prosecution agency.
Zeng, 56, is a former member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Guangdong Provincial Committee and head of the provincial United Front Work Department.
He was expelled from office and the CPC for "serious violations of discipline and laws" earlier this month.
His illegal gains have been confiscated and the case is now before the judiciary, officials say.
