The world's first surgery on a lung cancer patient using "Nano gun" technology was implemented at the Shanghai East Hospital on Thursday. Developed by Chinese and French scientists, the Nano gun technology is a new minimally invasive treatment which can be used on patients with tumors. Patients are injected with the radioactive element rhenium-188 covered with Nano particles into the tumor tissue to kill tumors.
