The Hukou Waterfall scenic spot in north China had its peak season during the three-day International Workers’ Day holiday, with about 15,000 visitors per day on average, five times its regular number.
The Hukou Waterfall is the world’s largest yellow waterfall and the second largest waterfall in China. It’s located at the intersection of north China’s Shanxi Province and Shaanxi Province in the northwest. The Hukou Waterfall has been considered one of the major symbols of Chinese civilization. Its magnificent view has attracted many visitors both at home and abroad.

During this Labor Day holiday, aerial views show that visitors ringed the Hukou Waterfall's observing area, taking photos in front of the spectacular scene.
The 30-meter-high waterfall now looks much clearer than before due to the decreased volume of water which used to cause mud deposits. The water causes rainbows that can be seen across the sky.
