A Spanish aid group on December 2 said a group of 11 migrants rescued by a trawler last week will soon reach a port in Malta. Previously, the trawler carrying the migrants waited for a week in the open sea without permission to dock from Malta and Italy. So far this year 107,216 migrants have arrived in Europe but 2,123 others have died or gone missing while crossing the Mediterranean Sea.
