WBA & WBC Middleweight World Champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez grabbed the WBA World Super Middleweight (168lbs) Champion's belt in his first match of this class by destroying Rocky Fielding within three rounds at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday evening.
For each round of this bout, Canelo knocked down Fielding once: for the first two rounds, Canelo hit the right side of Fielding's waist, and in the third round, Canelo launched a big right hand to the head of his rival before finally trashing again Fielding's torso.
Rocky Fielding (27-0-2, 15KOs), the 31-year-old British from Liverpool, is three years older than the Mexican Canelo Alvarez (51-1-2, 34KOs), but dominated in height and reach. However, the heavy power from the three-class world champion astonished over 20,000 spectators on site.

In the post-match interview, Canelo said, "I planned to knock out my rival by this way and I practiced the technique during my training. I feel very strong and happy in this class and I want to play good matches for public."
"I also have plan for going back to 160lbs, but that all depends on my team's decision."
When asked about whether there will be a third encounter with Gennady Golovkin, the 28-year-old suggested, "I will fight if people want me to fight."
