It is the first bridge in China built over a seismic fault line.
The bridge starts in the city of Wenchang, passes through Sanbang and Beigang Island and ends in the city of Haikou.
The trip between Wenchang and Haikou used to take an hour and a half, and now takes about 20 minutes.
