Thomas Lemar was finally presented as an Atletico Madrid player on Monday with 52 million pounds (68 million US dollars) transfer fee going to AS Monaco. His signing is the most expensive in Atletico’s history.

The 22-year-old takes over No. 11 shirt previously worn by Argentine Angel Correa, who will wear No.10 in the new season.
In the conference, Lemar told the media that he’s very happy with the decision he made.

The English side came to Lemar with some attractive offers, but he failed to move during the last summer transfer window and played three seasons (2015-2018) for Monaco. For 2016-17 season, he was the key part in helping Monaco win the title of Ligue 1.

Lemar also attended the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia this summer, but had just one appearance for the French national team.
