Close to 100,000 supporters filled the streets of Manchester to give a heroes’ welcome to the English Premier League champions as Manchester City players paraded with the coveted silverware across the city on Monday.
The triumphant team and its manager Pep Guardiola drove through the city in an open-top bus to celebrate a historic season that ended on Sunday with the club reaching the 100-point milestone to finish the league with record-breaking achievements.

Each player of the victorious City squad except their record goalscorer, Sergio Aguero, who is recuperating from a knee injury back home in order to get fit for the upcoming 2018 World Cup finals in Russia, and Spanish forward David Silva, who is holidaying with his young child in Spain, took part in the massive parade for the fans.
A stoppage time goal by Brazilian Gabriel Jesus at Southampton on Sunday accomplished the 100-point milestone for Pep Guardiola’s boys and also set a new scoring mark of 106 goals.
