The United States has been Japan's largest ally. However, trade ties between the two nations seem to have undergone some changes since U.S. President Donald Trump took office. Asia Today invited Liu Qingbin, director and associate professor of the Beijing center of Yokohama National University, to discuss the U.S. trade war's impact on Japan and China-Japan trade relations.
