“Tanggula” in Tibetan means mountains that eagles cannot fly over. Simply standing at the foot of the glacier at an altitude of over 5,500m is like lifting a 30kg weight. A brigade from the Tibetan Military District came here to climb the glaciers and, with professional climbing tools, it took only 19 minutes for the soldiers to make it to the top, and 12 minutes to come back down.
