An exhibition of Chinese porcelain from the 13th and 14th centuries has opened at the National Museum of China in Beijing.
A total of 96 items from the Yuan Dynasty are on display at the National Museum of China.
The dynasty was set up by Mongolian Emperor Kublai Khan, grandson of Genghis Khan.
It was well known for producing high-quality blue and white porcelains, which are generally regarded as the most famous of all Chinese porcelain.

"The porcelains on display include some from the National Museum of China, such as the blue and white porcelains, Longquan Kiln porcelains and Jun Kiln Porcelains," said Gu Zhiyang, curator of the National Museum.
Besides the national museum, the pieces are also from 11 other Chinese museums, such as the Palace Museum, the Hubei Provincial Museum, and the Anhui Provincial Museum.
The Yuan Dynasty was a period of social changes, ethnic integration and international communications in Chinese history. The aim of the exhibition is to introduce visitors to a more vivid version of the artistic achievements of the period.
"The exhibition mainly shows the pieces from several angles, including historical, cultural and aesthetic value," Gu added.
The exhibition will run for two months.
