Six people were killed on Wednesday in a suspected arson attack on a residential building in Shantou City, south China’s Guangdong Province.

The incident occurred at around 5:00 a.m. BJT and the preliminary investigation shows that the victims have signs of obvious trauma and the fire was started intentionally, according to the local media.

The investigation is ongoing.
