It is the personal story that needs to be told in China-related international reports, Vipp Jaswal, Head of International Affairs at Fox News Channel said in an exclusive interview with CGTN during the second CGTN Global Media Summit and the eighth Video Media Forum that kicked off on Tuesday in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.
There are many untold personal Chinese stories that are expected to arouse interest and curiosity worldwide, according to the media veteran, citing the success of “Crazy Rich Asians,” a romantic comedy featuring an all-Asian cast. “There is a desire from the American people to know more about the Chinese people," Vipp said.
“China knows a lot about the world and its people, but the world and its people doesn't know much about the people of China.”
Vipp delivered a keynote speech titled “Media Dilemma- The Pursuit of Success of Excellence” on Tuesday at the summit. He is one of some 500 guests from leading media agencies and organizations around the globe to attend the media event, which concluded on Wednesday.
