A 500-kilovolt power transmission and transformation project started operating, marking the completion of China's largest and most difficult power transmission and transformation project. The maximum power load of Zhoushan in 2020 is predicted to be about 2 million kilowatts. The project will meet the economic growth need of the Zhejiang Free Trade Zone under the Belt and Road Initiative, providing strong power support for the Zhoushan Islands New District.
