The 10th Straits Forum got underway on Tuesday in Xiamen city, southeast China’s Fujian Province, with the aim of enhancing bilateral cooperation, economic exchanges and cultural integration between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan. The general conference will be followed by a week-long series of activities that will unfold across the province.

Facing the Taiwan Strait, the beautiful costal city is arguably one of the best places to live in China due to its year-round mild weather, amazing landscape and enchanting scenery. Here are a few places that make Xiamen a tourist magnet.
