After 11 years and 22 movies, Marvel's Avengers: Endgame was finally released last week. The movie has garnered incredible box office success in China, proving that there are plenty of huge fans who love the Marvel Cinematic Universe's characters in the country.
Some say this is the best possible ending for the first decade of the Avengers, some feel melancholy about having to leave some of their heroes behind. But, if you're still immersed in the movie, join CGTN Travel for a trip to the shooting locations of Marvel's "Avengers: Endgame".

 Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.

With twice as many shooting locations as New York, Atlanta in Georgia is one of Marvel's favorite places.

New York City, New York, U.S.

As the home of Stark Tower, New York must be on the list and according to the films, the city has suffered 4,869,746 catastrophes.

Besides for the tower, there's New York Central Park, where Stark and Pepper Potts spend their afternoons, and Greenwich Village where Doctor Strange lives secretly.

Remember the yellow school bus which Spider-man was hanging on to? It was driving on the Queensboro Bridge that links Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The intersection of East 9th Street and Euclid Avenue in Cleveland became “New York”, and the entrance to Cleveland Trust Tower became Grand Central-42nd Street near Times Square.

Edinburgh, Scotland, UK

The producer of "The Avengers" wanted to find a unique, Gothic and dramatic shooting location - and Edinburgh's old medieval architecture met all their requirements.

The Royal Avenue, with its exquisite old museums, the properties on the Cockburn Street, the solemn St. Gill Cathedral, and the city's most important transportation hub Waverley Railway Station were the home of a lot of memorable scenes in the movies.

A fast-food restaurant on Cockburn Street, where Wanda met Vision, is transformed from a jewelry store for the movie. And the scene of the two escaping to a railway station, waiting for the backup, was shot in the Waverley Railway Station.

Maranhao National Park, Brazil

Thanos, the Avengers' archenemy, went to find the Soul Gem which was buried deeply in Vormir Star. In order to present the precipitous and desolate landscape of the alien world, the crew chose Marahnno National Park in Brazil.

The terrain of Maranhao is flat but covered with white sand, which is too desolate to grow any plants. Within the numerous dunes, the Amazon rainy season formed a dark green lake, which looks like white silk covered with green sapphire. With the advanced CG visual effects, Marahnno National Park became the heartbreaking Vormir Star.

Banaue Rice Terraces, the Philippines

At the end of "Avengers: Infinity War", Thanos won and eliminated half the universe. When he was done, he took off the Infinity gauntlet and sat in a valley, watching the sunset quietly, contemplating his success.

This valley is the Banaue Rice Terraces, a world cultural heritage site, located in the north-central part of Luzon Island, the Philippines.

It's known as "the ladder to heaven" and was built entirely by the aboriginal ancestors of Ifugao in the Philippines. It is a miracle of both nature and humanity.
“I will love you 3,000 times.”
For those who have seen the movie, the line must be one of the most touching moments in the film. The story of the first generation of Avengers has come to an end, but the courage of the great heroes will never leave us. Pack up and explore these fantastic places, and become your own hero!
