Under no circumstances can we allow conflict on the Korean Peninsula, Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday.
Wang made the remarks one day after US President Donald Trump canceled his planned summit with leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un in Singapore on June 12.
The Chinese vice president stressed that security on the Korean Peninsula touches on China's core interests.
