Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to visit AUC, African countries

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will pay an official visit to the African Union Commission (AUC) and four African countries from January 2 to 6, China's foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying announced at a regular news briefing on Friday.
The trip to the AUC and Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Gambia and Senegal is at the invitation of the foreign ministers of the four nations and the chairman of the AUC, which has its headquarters in Addis Ababa. 
"The upcoming visit indicates that China has all along attached importance to developing China-Africa relations," Hua said.
