With the 2018 Chinese Super League (CSL) season coming to an end, CGTN's Sports Scene takes a look at some of the numbers from the campaign.

Shanghai SIPG's Wu Lei is the top scorer with 27, all of which came from open play or set pieces, but no penalties. The 27-year-old also has set a new record for the most goals by a domestic player in a single CSL season. 
Changchun Yatai's Odion Ighalo is second with 21 goals, followed by Eran Zahavi from Guangzhou R&F at 20.

Other notable accomplishments include Shanghai SIPG's Oscar leading the league with 19 assists and rival Guangzhou Evergrande set a single-season record with 82 goals as a team. 
SIPG and Jiangsu Suning conceded the fewest goals in the CSL, giving up just 33 apiece.

The CSL's 16 teams combined for 768 goals this season, 36 more than last year. That led to the most goals per game in seven seasons at 3.2 per match. 
The number of combined appearances by Under-23 players is 1,198, and they scored 40 goals. This was the second year of a CSL rule mandating more time for youngsters in that age group.
