Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Tuesday. During the meeting, Xi emphasized the importance of relations between China and Trinidad and Tobago, and expressed willingness to strengthen cooperation in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative in order to help the economic and social development of Trinidad and Tobago.
