China's delegation closed out the World Taekwondo Championships in Manchester with a pair of gold medals, led by Zhao Shuai in the men's 63-kilogram division.
The Rio 2016 champion won his second straight title at this event after pounding Soroush Ahmadi of Iran.
Zhao came in as a heavy favorite, following up his Olympic gold with a first world title two years ago.
It was also an emotional match, as he was apparently the boyfriend of Zheng Shuyin, who was disqualified while holding a late lead in the women's over-73-kilogram final earlier this week.
That's a result the 23-year-old made sure not to repeat in his championship bout against Ahmadi.
Zhao prevailed by a margin of 27-7, and claimed China's first gold at the Manchester Arena, making him a two-time world champion, in addition to his 2016 Olympic gold, and 2018 Grand Slam title.
In the women's 67-kilogram division final, Zhang Mengyu continued a successful closing day for China. The 20-year-old defeated Nur Tatar As-kari from Turkey 18-9, claiming her maiden world title.
China's delegation wrapped up their five days in England with two gold, two silver, and two bronze medals to finish third in the overall tally.
The next edition of World Taekwondo Championships will be held in Wuxi, east China's Jiangsu Province.
