The population of Beiji in eastern China has decreased as nearly everyone has moved out of the islands. There are now only eight students studying in the local primary school. And seven of them will graduate after this term. With no new applicants for grade one, student Wang Zhenyu will, therefore, be the only student left, though his parents are considering transferring him. The Beiji school principal said, however, that they will carry on with their work to the end.
