An estimated 68.2 million passengers are expected to travel by trains from April 30 to May 4, showing a year-on-year growth of 10.9 percent, according to China Railway (CR).

In order to optimize the travel experience, 539 pairs of bullet trains and 156.5 pairs of regular ones will be added during the holiday to satisfy passengers' needs, according to CR.
Also, better service will be provided in terms of catering, cleaning, and water supply, together with special care dedicated to the old, young, sick, pregnant and disabled.
As the train tickets can be booked one month in advance, tickets for April 30, May 1 and 2 can now be purchased. There are three ways to buy tickets: visiting the official online ticketing website 12306.cn, through the app or phoning 95105105.
