Chinese President Xi Jinping and French President Emmanuel Macron have arrived at the Elysee Palace Monday in the French capital of Paris for talks.

Earlier, a welcome ceremony was held for the Chinese president at the Arc de Triomphe.

On Tuesday, President Xi will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

Xi arrived in Paris after his visit to Nice in the south of France.

France is the last leg of Xi's three-nation European tour that has also taken him to Italy and Monaco.
