The forest fire that spread from Miyun to Pinggu District in northeast Beijing was put out on Sunday morning.
The initial investigation suggested the fire was caused by local villagers who accidentally lit weeds.
Six villagers suspected of involvement have been detained.

The fire has been put out in northeast Beijing's Miyun District.
More than 600 firefighters, however, are still working to contain the fire that is spreading toward neighboring Pinggu District, local media reported.
At present, the fire is far from a village and does not pose a threat to the safety of nearby villages.
The fire has engulfed a mountain in northeast Beijing's Miyun District as of 12:30 p.m. local time on Saturday.
A rescue mission is currently underway, and no casualties have yet been reported.
