The salt lake in the city of Yuncheng in northern China has recently seen many salt crystals on the lake appear like blossoming flowers. The declining temperatures have helped the magnesium sulfate in the rosy salty water to shape into pinky crystals. The Yuncheng salt lake, also known as "China’s dead sea", is the world’s third-largest sodium sulfate inland lake, covering an area of 132 square kilometers.
