Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan said China will deepen its reform and opening-up process, and constantly improve the trade and investment environment.
Wang made the remarks while meeting with a US delegation attending the 10th China-US business leaders’ and former senior officials’ dialogue in Beijing on Tuesday.
The relationship between China and the US has experienced ups and downs but has forged ahead, and economic and trade cooperation based on equality and mutual benefit has played the role of being the "ballast stone" for the bilateral relationship, Wang said.
“People from both countries have benefited from this economic and trade relationship.”
Wang urged the two sides to enhance mutual understanding and trust, and resolve the differences through dialogue and consultation.
He hoped that business leaders and think tanks from the two countries will reach a consensus and work together to promote the stable and healthy development of China-US economic and trade relations.
The US delegates said the country's business leaders will continue to promote communication and exchange at all levels and seek a win-win solution through consultation and dialogue.
