A large group of Chinese athletes and sports officials are in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea for a visit. On the agenda for the Chinese teams is joint training and friendly matches with the DPRK teams. The Chinese delegation includes men's and women's basketball teams. Yao Ming, former NBA star and current president of China Basketball Association, is also involved in the event. The Chinese delegation arrived in the DPRK on Monday, just after US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited Pyongyang.
