The General Administration of Sport of China released its report over sports development in China for 2018 at a press conference on Thursday. The agency also talked about the 10 proposals it has presented to help people find better places for exercising.
1. New jogging paths
Different types of jogging paths will be built in cities, parks, forests and the countryside to provide more choices for people to do exercises.
2. More sports parks
Existing parks with sports facilities will be upgraded and special parks for sports built, where people can have access to popular sports equipment.

3. Community exercising centers
Both indoor and outdoor exercising centers will be established in communities, with the goal of putting one center at every community.
4. More smart gyms
Unmanned, economical gyms will be build in densely-populated areas so people can do exercising at 7/24.
5. Sports venues
Equipment for regular exercising will be installed to existing venues while some venues switching from public-institution management to enterprise operation to create better resources for people.

6. More non-professional sports clubs
More people, especially the youths, will be drawn to non-professional clubs.
7. More sports facilities on the streets
More “sports cages” including soccer and basketball fields will be built to spare areas in the cities.
8. Introducing sports to malls
The Administration prepared to refurbish parts of old factories into sports facilities and install sports facilities at more shopping malls, especially for indoor winter sports.

9. More sharing platforms for sports
The Administration planned to encourage more players from civil society and the market to launch more sharing platforms for exercising-related services including coaching, field-renting and equipment-purchasing.
10. More sports complexes
More sports complexes will be built by upgrading old factories, old malls, scenic spots and camping areas to offer more choices for people with exercising.
