Republic of Korea (ROK) President Moon Jae-in will greet the leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un at the border on Friday morning, Moon's chief of staff Im Jong-seok told a press briefing on Thursday.
The pair is scheduled to meet at the Military Demarcation Line at around 9:30 a.m. local time (0030 GMT), before Kim crosses the line and heads to the Peace House, a ROK facility located south of the border at the joint security area of Panmunjom, and the site for the summit.

The ROK honor guards will then escort the leaders to a welcome ceremony at a plaza in Panmunjom, the ROK’s presidential chief of staff said.
The official dialogue between Moon and Kim will begin at 10:30 a.m. local time (0130 GMT) at the Peace House in Panmunjom, an hour after Kim is scheduled to cross the border.
After the end of the first session of talks, Kim and Moon will have lunch separately before holding a tree-planting ceremony in the afternoon, Im said.

A pine tree will be planted on the demarcation line to symbolize “peace and prosperity,” Im said, using soil from Mount Paektu in the DPRK and Mount Halla in the ROK.
Kim and Moon will water the tree with water brought from the Taedong River in the DPRK and the Han River in the ROK, Im reported. Afterward, Moon and Kim will take a walk together in Panmunjom before beginning the next round of talks.
At the end of talks, Kim and Moon will sign a pact and make an announcement. Later, they will have dinner on the south side and watch a video clip themed "Spring of One" before wrapping up the summit, he added.
Pyongyang's delegation will include a high-ranking entourage consisting of senior party, military and government officials.
