Japanese and UK armies hold first-ever joint military exercise in central Japan. The drills come as Japan's PM Shinzo Abe looks to widen military cooperation with allies. The exercise began at a GSDF training school in Shizuoka Prefecture and the troops are scheduled to hold more drills through October 12 in other parts of Japan as well. British Army claims that exercise symbolizes deepening UK-Japan ties; we hope to remain committed to such drills in the future.
