A report by the UK-based organization, Iraq Body Count, reveals that between 2003 and 2013, at least 112,000 Iraqi civilians lost their lives in violent incidents. If deaths among anti-government militia and unrecorded civilian deaths are included, the figure is estimated to increase to 174,000.
According to a report published in 2017 by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq, at least 6,878 civilians have died, and 12,388 reported injured in violent conflicts.
There seems to be no end to the pain caused by the continuing unrest.
